Drs. P (Heinz Hermann Polzer, 1919-2015) gold als een liefhebber van tekst en muziek, maar de Drs. was evenzeer een picturaal genieter. Hij maakte vrolijke tekeningen voor zijn reclamewerk en hij verzamelde schilderijen en ansichtkaarten. Ook schreef hij het scenario voor een authentiek stripverhaal: Het Maanvirus (met tekeningen van Johnn Bakker.) De Drs. zou zeer genoten hebben van La Bande Dessinée. Frits Smid maakte mooie en fantasievolle illustraties bij 10 liedteksten van de Drs. De grote hits (Veerpont, Dodenrit, Tante Constance en tante Mathilde) ontbreken niet, maar ook minder bekende nummers groeiden uit tot visuele verrassingen. Een prachtig boek. Warm aanbevolen.
